@edwardqiu I have an IBM Thinkpad that survived 10 years in a wagon in my garage where the temperature sometimes went as low as -10F and up to 90F, just opened it up a few months ago, screen works and keyboard works, has Windows 95 installed and can read/write floppies and read cd’s just fine. No errors, no dead battery, no nothing. WOW.

@shalpp Yeah, Lenovo bought the Thinkpad line. IBM is no longer involved with Thinkpads at all now…

@shalpp No, they bought the Thinkpad line and they own it. IBM has nothing to do with Thinkpads anymore, Lenovo is in charge of everything, and they don’t need IBM’s permission to sell Thinkpads.

@shalpp you are so stupid. IBM is IBM, Lenovo is Lenovo. Lenovo is Lenovo here, Lenovo is Lenovo in China, same with IBM. Lenovo does not have 2 different names, and is definitely not IBM. They are NOT the same company, seriously, do some simple research before you talk.

@bv90andy it’s not misleading, it can withstand 10 times more than what’s shown here. Lenovos have survived house fires and being dropped into lakes.

@Silverwolfstarz Have u every use a ThinkPad? I accidentally dropped it about 2 feet from the floor..the laptop’s hard drive paused for a few seconds –> then resumes to run smoothly as before LOL

You could try it, and it probably would survive all that shown in the ad. Since it meets strict military standards and has survive house fires before.
