After five years in the making and undergoing testing by 4 million beta users, Microsoft Chairman Bill Gates officially launched Windows Vista. During his announcement, Gates thanked everyone who played a role in helping to create Windows Vista, which goes on sale Tuesday, Jan. 30. As part of the kick-off celebration, a family from Maryland who has used Windows Vista for the past two years, helped Gates push a button to officially launch the new product. Microsoft officials say Windows Vista and the 2007 Office System are the most tested products in Microsoft history.
