i always thought the new cell phones were too tiny, and looked ridiculous because of their small size. The streak is just the perfect size for a cell phone IMHO.

Have you heard anthing about the release date yet? My company is looking to deploy this to our sales department and we have even looked into a custom application. I can’t wait to get my hands on the thing for myself but if the company is going to employ the device I have to know it inside and out. Thank for the video.

1) How reliable would the phone be if I only used WiFi?
2) could you demo amazon Kindle on the streak. I like to see how much print could comfortably fit on a page.

the android app fring gives u video chat….also the skyfire app in the android marketplace is the only browser that has flash…!

@999finger They haven’t announced any specific plans for the Dell Streak yet but I imagine the plans will be the same as on most AT&T smartphones.

@AnnaMishel As far as I know yes, the Android Kindle app works just as well over Wi-Fi as it does on the iPod/iPhone.

@BrainSeepsOut They can work in this instance, I doubt TGS crew will big time their targeted audience, and HD is old news (3D is the future). It’s strange that a television show boasting the likes of technology where the idea of High Definition is as standard in most modern day televisions, don’t upload there videos in HD. It’s just bizarre.

@Neodude991 Nope… no luck… changed the date to September, checked for update… “your device is up to date”… maybe they took the update off the server.
@danielkelly84 Go in to your settings, about phone, system software updates and it should find the latest update which is 2.1-update1. Oh just change the month to September and a popup will show to update.

I’ve got a dell streak and love it. Size isn’t a problem for me infact it’s the reason I bought it. It’s it’s biggest strength! It’s perfectly easy to use as a phone…. remember that most landline handsets are as big if not bigger, and nobody thinks twice about making a call on them!
It may only have android 1.6 at present, but it is going to get an over the air update to android 2.2 sometime this year… might have been worth mentioning that in your review Jon!
