$88 5″ Android Tablet: Acorp EM501R

Filmed by Charbax of ARMdevices.net at Computex 2010 in Taipei Taiwan. Heard about the 0+ Dell Streak ? This is similar but is to be sold at only (for distributors buying at least 1000 pieces). This is the 5″ Rockchip 600mhz ARM9 based tablet. This sized tablet fits just fine in most pockets and provides better view of web browser, video and apps.


The Dell streak gets pricing and a release date in the US, Skype and Kazaa founders team up to launch an online music service, and pictures of a new Samsung tablet surface.

the first guy to come out with a under 100 dollar tablet that can surf the web, play youtube, and handle netflix will sell a milion of them. it is cheap enough not to worry aboutncarrying around.

they’re not in the same price range, this is atleast $400 cheaper, also android 2.2 is up to 5 times faster than 1.5

is not too bad, great for my kids and/or countries in need of technology for children and schools, either way am looking forward for something in the range of nvidia tegra2 with android 2.2

might be good for the kids, is cheap and looks durable

but i prefer something faster for myself so something in the range of $200 – $250 might be good

@edward2868 They had over 2,500 people at the WWDC where they announced the new iPhone 4 and I read somewhere that a ticket to that conference is roughly $1,500. Apple is far from dead.

and better than Ipad in connectivity and size and mobility.

dont expect it to be less than $499.

Samsung Tab would be better than the ipad in terms of screen size, discreetness for viewing in public, & portable weight. For watching movies on a plane, browsing the internet or reading a book at about half arm’s length(which is the normal distance) 7 inch screen would be big enough but more discreet to use in public & a better size for viewing, & significantly lighter for holding over time. I think for portable usability Samsung is the perfect size & is clearly better than the bigger ipad.
