Today’s Thursday December 16th 2010 so it’s time for Tech Thursdays. Sorry the audio is a bit off, and the video is a bit off. I had some problems with my recording program. Last week was full of announcements, and this week is all about price drops. So this week the Samsung Galaxy Tab on T-Mobile got a price cut now costing only 0 on a two year contract. Dell’s Streak had a really good price drop at Best Buy. You can now get it for only 0 for Best Buy on an AT&T 2-year contract. So that’s a really good deal if you want one of those phones. T-Mobile is also selling the HTC G2 at a discount, but only if you buy it online. So now you can get the phone for only on a two year contract so that’s a really good deal for pretty much any smartphone. I really think that’s a good deal since it’s such a good phone. AMD launched their new 5850 and 5870 replacement with their 6950 and 6970 cards both bringing a really nice price to performance ratio. Both have 2GB of GDDR5 RAM the 6970 has a 880MHz clock speed, and a 5.5GHz memory speed. So a really nice card, it’s not quite as good as the 570, but it costs less which is good. And finally the United States Court of Appeals ruled that the government can’t search your emails without a warrant. That’s because of the Fourth Amendment which is good for all those people who like to have their privacy. The case was United States vs. Warshak.
